Yes siree-bob! BG has completed work on their new album! It is called CONSIDER THE GRACKLES.
Got that? The proceedings were laid down in a warehouse in Philadelphia by our dear friend Kevin Riley! Thanks, Kev! YES! Tapes and CDs are currently being manufactured and one other format is a possibility at this point!

In other release news: we will be putting out a live DVD of our 200th show sometime soon. Excellent multi-camera footage shot by Kevin Riley and James Travis III. And on top of all that, Turtle is currently compiling decades worth of poetry that we're going to put out in book form.
TT aficionados take note!

Holey moley!
Haven't updated this space in a while but there is much to report!

We're proud, amazed and excited to note that we have a split cassette out with Erode & Disappear. Click the link for deets or paypal $7 to buckgooter@gmail.com for a copy.

(That said, mail order prices are going up! We can stand it no longer, Postage costs and paypal rapery are making us shoot the sliding scale up to $7-10. Please send that much for disks.
Dig deep, folks.)

We're also very happy to report that Buck Gooter is working on a new album. Nine tracks have formed so far and we'll put together a few more, cap it, rehearse and hopefully record in September. YES!!

We'll get a chance to "road test" some or all of these jams in July and August. Crazy weekender tour to Chattanooga in July and a longer weekender (does 6 days count as a tour?) trip to Chicago in August with holes (hopefully) to be filled or we're fucked.

And next weekend we'll embark on a trip to Providence to play the wild Puffers Fest. The curator of said fest, B. Aspirin Lopez, hollered about BG on the Providence radio recently and played a rare T. Turtle jam. Check that out by clicking here.

We made a Soundcloud page a while back. There's a few things on there of possible interest and it gets updated from time to time.

APE THRILL!
How we loved ye.
The shows this month have all been quite wonderful. Our trip north was excellent! Thanks to everyone involved for making it happen the way it did. No thanks to exits 8-6 Southbound NJ Turnpike. Get it together already!

In Philadelphia we recorded five songs with the inimitable and quite wonderful KEVIN RILEY. These tracks will see the light of day as part of a split cassette release with Kevin's band ERODE & DISAPPEAR. We're excited to share some chrome with such good friends and their excellent band!!

This cassette should be out in time for E&D's June tour w/ Stinking Lizaveta. Keep your eyes completely peeled.

Also in Philadelphia we played our 200th show and it was filmed on two different cameras and plans are in the works to edit it and release a 200th show dvd. WHY THE HELL NOT?!

We're not playing in Greensboro this weekend but we are playing in Blacksburg, the last "Record release Show" for the Devil Worship 7".

Ok, so it can be said:
FLANNEL GURL RECORDS, a new label out of Blacksburg, Va will release a Buck gooter 7" vinyl record called DEVIL WORSHIP in the next couple of months. This slab is an exploration in devotional and bizarre worship music. Like a gospel record from
Planet WHATDAHELL.

We're quite pleased with this as it'll be our first vinyl release and dealings with a label, as humble as it all may be. There'll be much activity and info regarding this little platter in the coming weeks.

Ok, alright! New website design! Can you feel that? We wanted to spruce up the joint a little bit since myspace is pretty much useless at this point and we had to figure out some practical way to use the photo to the left of Cliff spitting in my face.

The GOOTER HOLLOWCAUST SUMMER TOUR 2010 was mostly fun. Maybe it should've raged for only 7 days instead of 10. Oh well. live a little and learn less.

Band fund depleted, long stretches of HARRISONTURD TIME on the horizon, peppered with diversions listed to the right. Maybe we'll finally record this new album. Maybe before the year is done.

Okey dokey! Lots of goings on, or so it seems, in the show world. Springtime is trying to happen, we'll embark on a couple weekend warrior campaigns the next few weeks. Both above and below.

In the summertime we've been invited to a couple cool, offbeat fests. We're also planning to do another 10 day tour with the inimitable MANNEQUIN HOLLOWCAUST at the end of July. if you have any great ideas about that, email us..

A live tape featuring recordings from that trip is currently in the works!

New "studio" album in the works too! Contemplating setting up the dictation recorder and geting the set that way. All raw and poppin. Real plans are to venture to Inner Ear Studio and have Don Z. try his hand at helping us sound passable!

Wow, long time since this space has gotten any play. We've been busy as usual, playing shows and setting them up and writing new stuff and all that fun crap.
Believe it or not, a lot of activity has been occurring on the BG myspace page after we finally gave in and took over the reins and starting to use it a little bit to book and send out news. For shame.

-No-Core Blog giving the "what's up" on the documentary.

- Heathen Harvest has an uncanny understanding of BG.

-Nailgunmedia interviewed us and we were verbose.

-Henry played us again on his fabulous radio show. Rock in roll!

The Buck Gooter collection of songs referred to in brief as an "album" which holds the specific title of "Bad Vibrations" is now available from ITUNES and other nefarious - and perhaps Russian - digital download services.

In more release news, CNP Records included the track "Animal" on their hit compilation "Killer Workout Mix". This is a must-buy for the archioves.

In an effort to be more informative and content-rife, there are now individual pages for every single BG record available for navigation through the WHAT DA HELL? discography page.

A June weekender in the usual spots with the usual suspects is planned as is another record.

The new Buck Gooter album, SLUGS, is now available for purchase from Interpunk and the Buck Gooter Music Band Paypal Affiliate, along with EVERY OTHER BUCK GOOTER ALBUM in print. Thanks to Fulmer for the great artwork for the record.

You can go to the SLUGS page and read a fake tracklist and look at some concept art by Deanne. Lame!? Well, that's what we've got so far.

ALSO: Bad Vibrations had the piper paid and can be purchased from CD BABY for a mean sum but also, soon, will be available from some huge online music retailers that have grown increasingly popular in the parlance of our times. The cool thing about CD BABY is you can get a preview of EVERY TRACK from that album if you're super wishy washy about your purchases.

We've finished recording a new album. This time the man behind the knobs was good old Casey Firkin of Sleepfeeder fame.

We're currently in the process of getting our shit together to release this biotch but until then there's some recent video posts on Youtube that kind of promote the last album, Bad Vibrations, and preview the new album... (We'll tell you the name of it soon enough). The one to the left is the cream of the crop but there's another one that can be found HERE.

Interested parties may note that Chris Childrey of Scary Weather Films has made available three videos on Youtube of a recent Buck Gooter Performance in Harrisonburg. Mr. Childrey has also wrapped up filming a short documentary on Buck Gooter that will be released soon.

Buck Gooter has confirmed a small tour in June. There will be a pause in touring activities over the summer due to work issues. Expect more dates in September?
