Old Buck Gooter News (back)
"Because old news was good news!"
10/11/11
Yes siree-bob! BG has completed work on their new album! It is called CONSIDER
THE GRACKLES.
Got that? The proceedings were laid down in a warehouse in Philadelphia by our
dear friend Kevin Riley! Thanks, Kev! YES! Tapes and CDs are currently being
manufactured and one other format is a possibility at this point!
In other release news: we will be putting out a live DVD of our 200th show sometime
soon. Excellent multi-camera footage shot by Kevin Riley and James Travis III.
And on top of all that, Turtle is currently compiling decades worth of poetry
that we're going to put out in book form.
TT aficionados take note!
Keep an eye on this page and the Tumblr
for all the late breaking real news but it's all coming soon. SOON!
Come see us play some shows in NOV!
Thanks,
BG

We had a good tour to Chicago and around and back! Check
out this video of us jammin in South Bend, In.
Plans are in the works to record in Philadelphia in October! The new album will
follow shortly thereafter.
A bunch of local shows have materialized, including a double header on Sept.
10. The fecund valley during school times...
If you have navigated to this site after reading that recent MRR review, thanks!
And thanks!

MUCH FUN WAS HAD ON A SHORT SOUTHERN JAUNT LAST WEEKEND! THANKS TO ALL!
A few dates have been cobbled together for the summer. Gonna go to Chicago and
back home. Check them out.
Shirts have been re-printed! Get yours today by paypal'ing $12 to buckgooter@gmail.com.
Specify size. Or you can mail that $crilla to PO BOX 113, HBURG, VA 22803. Click
for a pic!
Rollins
played SATAN on his show recently! Thanks, man! Awesome!
Stay fiercely up to date w/ the GOOT via TUMBLR.
It's the only modern day internet thing we embrace with a bit of sincerity.
Headlines from that tumblr spot can be viewed by scrolling to the bottom of
this page.
Thanks and come see us in a few major metropolitan areas in August!

Holey moley!
Haven't updated this space in a while but there is much to report!
We're proud, amazed and excited to note that we have a
split cassette out with Erode & Disappear. Click the link for deets or paypal
$7 to buckgooter@gmail.com for a copy.
(That said, mail order prices are going up! We can stand it no longer, Postage
costs and paypal rapery are making us shoot the sliding scale up to $7-10. Please
send that much for disks.
Dig deep, folks.)
We're also very happy to report that Buck Gooter is working on a new album.
Nine tracks have formed so far and we'll put together a few more, cap it, rehearse
and hopefully record in September. YES!!
We'll get a chance to "road test" some or all of these jams in July
and August. Crazy weekender tour to Chattanooga in July and a longer weekender
(does 6 days count as a tour?) trip to Chicago in August with holes (hopefully)
to be filled or we're fucked.
And next weekend we'll embark on a trip to Providence to play the wild Puffers
Fest. The curator of said fest, B. Aspirin Lopez, hollered about BG on the Providence
radio recently and played a rare T. Turtle jam. Check
that out by clicking here.
We made a Soundcloud page a while
back. There's a few things on there of possible interest and it gets updated
from time to time.
I think that's it! Thanks for reading this!
XOXOXO BG

APE THRILL!
How we loved ye.
The shows this month have all been quite wonderful. Our trip north was excellent!
Thanks to everyone involved for making it happen the way it did. No thanks to
exits 8-6 Southbound NJ Turnpike. Get it together already!
In Philadelphia we recorded five songs with the inimitable and quite wonderful
KEVIN RILEY. These tracks will see the light of day as part of a split cassette
release with Kevin's band ERODE & DISAPPEAR. We're excited to share some
chrome with such good friends and their excellent band!!
This cassette should be out in time for E&D's June tour w/ Stinking Lizaveta.
Keep your eyes completely peeled.
Also in Philadelphia we played our 200th show and it was filmed on two different
cameras and plans are in the works to edit it and release a 200th show dvd.
WHY THE HELL NOT?!
We're not playing in Greensboro this weekend but we are playing in Blacksburg,
the last "Record release Show" for the Devil Worship 7".
RAT ON!!!
BG
3.15.11
Alrighty! The Devil Worship 7" is now available from Flannel
Gurl Records! The best way to order it at this point is to paypal $7 to
flannelgurl@gmail.com. You can paypal us the same amount and we'll try and smuggle
you one too. COOL!
BEYOND
THE ROTTING LEAF is now out on tape! Check it out!
Henry
Rollins threw us on a short list in the LA WEEKLY.
Other than that, April's heating up w/ shows. A couple bad ass gigs as well
as a few more TBAs.
I, BRAT BRAINS, WILL NO LONGER KEEP MY LOVE OF TUMBLR A SECRET. PLEASE CHECK
OUT BUCK GOOTER'S TUMBLR PAGE.
There's probably more good news on the way. Keep an eye on this spot if you
can spare it.
Sincerely,
Buck Gooter

Ok, so it can be said:
FLANNEL GURL RECORDS, a new label
out of Blacksburg, Va will release a Buck gooter 7" vinyl record called
DEVIL WORSHIP in the next couple of months. This slab is an
exploration in devotional and bizarre worship music. Like a gospel record from
Planet WHATDAHELL.
We're quite pleased with this as it'll be our first vinyl release and dealings with a label, as humble as it all may be. There'll be much activity and info regarding this little platter in the coming weeks.
Until then and beyond, we RAT ON!!!
LURV,
bg

Welcome to 2011!
Good things are afoot.
We have a few shows this month to start the new year off right. We may have
more and more and more?
Thanks!
B
12.13.10
Ok, alright! New website design! Can you feel that? We wanted to spruce up the
joint a little bit since myspace is pretty much useless at this point and we
had to figure out some practical way to use the photo to the left of Cliff spitting
in my face.
The "Gallery" and "BIO"
pages are new! Check them out! If anyone out there wants to write a better BIO,
be our guest!!
This website is quite the repository (and maybe suppository?) of BG info so
take a look around? there's more being added somewhat regularly! Always point
people to this page if you think of it. There's tunes, photos, etc. What more
could you want?
Thanks!!
12.12.10
OK!
As the internet BURNS we have burning tracks fresh on AMAZON
MP3 for your purchasable download amusement! Use those gift cards wisely!
Read a review of "BEYOND..."
by TIM GREENE...
Some exciting (to format fetishist/band and label folks alike) developments
are happening which may not be able to be discolosed completely at this time
but you could probably figure it out if you try hard enough.
That's all the useless
news for today!
Thanks!
11.13.10
The New Buck Gooter album, BEYOND THE ROTTING LEAF is out now!
We'll have it at upcoming shows and it'll be available from Amazon MP3 real
soon, hopefully. This selection was recorded by THEE MIGHTY BOOK OF KILLS and
mastered by Don Zientara. Eliza Childress did the cover art and a visualizer
was made for the first track, "The Banquet". Peep both in the space
here ---->
2010 has been a good year for BG. Fifty shows, two albums, lots of good times.
Pat yourselves on the back for the hell of it.
Thanks!!!
Luv, BG
9/26/10
Buck Gooter prepares to record their new batch of songs NEXT WEEK! My how time
flies. We'll "reveal" the title soon. If you've spoken to Terry in
the last 6 months he probably told you already. Otherwise, hang on...
In anticipation of the new album and in light of the fact that the MP3
page hasn't been updated in a long while there's some NEW tunes up there.
A few are from DOGFOOD TOWERS and there's also an exclusive practice demo of
a new song called EVIL. Click
to check it out.
Welcome to 2010!
BG will embark on a few mini-tours once the album is released. Dates - tentative
and booked - are listed to the right.
Tonight's gig at the BLUE NILE in HBARF will be the scene of the premiere of
a few new songs never played live before! You won't be there but you'll get
to hear them on the NEW ONE...
Also, for the first time in the band's five year history we have
T-SHIRTS
to sell! They're like $12. Send money to the PO box. We're not going to attempt
to sell them online, just FYI.
SOON!
8.3.10
Hello there.
The GOOTER HOLLOWCAUST SUMMER TOUR 2010 was mostly fun. Maybe it should've raged
for only 7 days instead of 10. Oh well. live a little and learn less.
Band fund depleted, long stretches of HARRISONTURD TIME on the horizon, peppered
with diversions listed to the right. Maybe we'll finally record this new album.
Maybe before the year is done.
Some press/reviews. HERE.
and HERE.
Possible synopsis of each forthcoming!? So you don't have to bother reading
them? Just more (un)satisfied customers. You have to scroll a little bit in
the second one and we're listed alphabetically in the first.
COOL!
7.10.10
OK!
We've been busy.
Playin, practicin', writin, BOOKIN'!
We will embark on the 2nd ever GOOTER HOLLOWCAUST SUMMER TOUR at the end of
this month. All dates w/ MANNEQUIN HOLLOWCAUST (DUH!) Check out the (finally)
finalized dates to the right. It's gonna be a fun trip!
Thought about getting together some exclusive "tour merch" but been
busy with real damn things to tend w/ that. Maybe a live bootleg cassette will
surface. BIG MAYBE!
Some newish videos have surfaced that aren't half bad. THIS
and THIS
(audio's fuct on this til 15mins in-ish)
Come see us play!
Thanks,
BG
4.17.10
Okey dokey! Lots of goings on, or so it seems, in the show world. Springtime
is trying to happen, we'll embark on a couple weekend warrior campaigns the
next few weeks. Both above and below.
In the summertime we've been invited to a couple cool, offbeat fests. We're
also planning to do another 10 day tour with the inimitable MANNEQUIN HOLLOWCAUST
at the end of July. if you have any great ideas about that, email
us..
Also, we set up a TUMBLR page as a sorta
catch all/more up to the minute news/blog bullshit forum. It seems mildly entertaining.
New material is being hammered away at. it's going good, thank you...
Thanks you!
2 .13.10

Long time no news!?
Shit!
The tour w/ Mannequin Hollowcaust was wonderful. Excellent time.
A live tape featuring recordings from that trip is currently in the works!
Bunch of local shows (barf) to the right.
New "studio" album in the works too! Contemplating setting up the
dictation recorder and geting the set that way. All raw and poppin. Real plans
are to venture to Inner Ear Studio and have Don Z. try his hand at helping us
sound passable!
New tunes at the forthcoming gigs! YES!
Later,
BG

Buck Gooter's 10th album, RAT
ON!! exists in this world and possibly others.
The band continues to operate and updates the somehow easier(?) myspace page
regularly. again, for shame.
A tour with Mannequin Hollowcaust is scheduled to proceed at the end of August.
An exclusive BG track is featured on the Chaotic
Underworld Noise VOl. 4 comp. Terry plays keyboards on this one!!
New TT and ROM B albums are in the works too. YES!?
Why aren't you listeneing to the megamix?
3.25.09
Wow, long time since this space has gotten any play. We've been busy as usual,
playing shows and setting them up and writing new stuff and all that fun crap.
Believe it or not, a lot of activity has been occurring on the BG myspace page
after we finally gave in and took over the reins and starting to use it a little
bit to book and send out news. For shame.
Playing lots of places in the coming months. check it out.
Also we're switching web hosts so lots of links may be weird for a bit while
we tidy up.
Thanks
BG
12.18.08
Buck Gooter's ninth record called
The Rabbit
can be downloaded for free by clicking on this block of text.
Yes!
We fixed the way we're hooking you up with previews, singles, whatever. There's
a music page now
with a player on it and there's some BG standards and random BG related tracks
too. Hopefully we'll find it in our hearts to update it every so often with
oddities, live trax and such.
Check it.
Another year, another 3 albums. WOOHOO! Here's to 09. Stay
safe? Stay sick!
10.23.08

8/12/08
LOOKIT! A hot steaming pile of press:
-MADZ E-ZINE, a Russian web zine,
wrote up the
flick, reviewed
Welcome... AND the
cave thing, and interviewed
us at length (part
two).
-No-Core Blog giving the "what's up" on the documentary.
- Heathen
Harvest has an uncanny understanding of BG.
-Nailgunmedia interviewed
us and we were verbose.
-Henry
played us again on his fabulous radio show. Rock in roll!
Shows set for SEPT, hopefully more in OCT. FUCK AUG.
7/01/08
Our intrepid filmmaker friend Ben Dansby has completed his documentary on Buck
Gooter entitled "What Da Hell? A film about Buck Gooter".
You can watch the high def version in its entirety HERE
(just click "what da hell" up top), OR you can watch it to the
left.
And you can still download two new
Buck gooter records for free.
And buy everything else.
6/19/08
So here's the deal:
Buck Gooter has just released TWO, count em, TWO albums for FREE download HERE.
Welcome To The Last Day Of Your Life,
the latest installment in the documentation of Buck Gooter's weird rock, is
also available on compact disc (what?! huh) and if you want one let us know.
There's some shows coming up, amazingly.
5/10/08
BIG NOSE:
The Buck Gooter collection of songs referred to in brief as an "album"
which holds the specific title of "Bad
Vibrations" is now available from ITUNES
and other nefarious - and perhaps Russian - digital download services.
In more release news, CNP Records included
the track "Animal" on their hit compilation "Killer Workout Mix".
This is a must-buy for the archioves.
In an effort to be more informative and content-rife, there are now individual
pages for every single BG record available for navigation through the WHAT DA
HELL? discography page.
A June weekender in the usual spots with the usual suspects is planned as is
another record.
3/20/08
Yippy skippy son!
The new Buck Gooter album, SLUGS,
is now available for purchase from Interpunk and the Buck Gooter Music Band
Paypal Affiliate, along with EVERY OTHER BUCK GOOTER ALBUM
in print. Thanks
to Fulmer for the great artwork for the record.
You can go to the SLUGS
page and read a fake tracklist and look at some concept art by Deanne. Lame!?
Well, that's what we've got so far.
ALSO: Bad Vibrations had the piper
paid and can be purchased from CD
BABY for a mean sum but also, soon, will be available from some huge online
music retailers that have grown increasingly popular in the parlance of our
times. The cool thing about CD BABY
is you can get a preview of EVERY TRACK from that album if you're super wishy
washy about your purchases.
2/19/08
Ok, so,
We've finished recording a new album. This time the man behind the knobs was
good old Casey Firkin of Sleepfeeder
fame.
We're currently in the process of getting our shit together to release this
biotch but until then there's some recent video posts on Youtube that kind of
promote the last album, Bad
Vibrations, and preview the new album... (We'll tell you the name of it
soon enough). The one to the left is the cream of the crop but there's another
one that can be found HERE.
More soon!?
12/14/07 -
